A love lost in the pages of history

Inspired by a story I was told by my Mom about her Grandparents, this project delves into the untold stories of women who lost their future husbands to World War II. These women experienced a rollercoaster of emotions—from the initial excitement of their beloved’s return and the anticipation of a wedding, to the heartbreaking realization that their dreams would never come true.Through this project, I aimed to shine a light on the often overlooked perspective of these forgotten fiancées. Going through the complexities of emotions such as excitement, anger, confusion, and profound sadness.
